From 31st March 2010 Alan K Jones Avian & Exotic Veterinary Practice will cease to exist.

 Alan has made the long and difficult decision to retire from hectic practice life now he is in to his 63rd year.  He has tried for several years to find the right personality as a Veterinary Associate to join the practice and learn from his years of experience, and eventually to take over the running of the practice. Sadly this search has proved unsuccessful, and now that Jean Davidson has returned to South Africa he has given up trying.  It has been an interesting and rewarding career, but he cannot keep going with the demands of such work and administering a business seven days a week for much longer.  He would like the time to pursue other interests such as writing and photography while he is still fit and well enough to do so, and of course to spend more time with his young grandchildren.
