Nurses & Receptionists:
Gail Masters.
Gail is chief receptionist/nurse working at both
Crawley and Sevenoaks. Seen here caring for one of our
patients "Arthur" Gail has been working with birds since her early teens & has a natural ability in handling and nursing
both birds and animals which
has proved to be a valuable asset to the practice.
Both Gail & Emma are your first point of contact
at the practice, and are on hand to advise and assist you through what may well
be a stressful time for both you, your animal or bird.

Gemma Claxton.
While Gail
Masters continues to be number one PA, receptionist/nurse at
Crawley and ongoing chauffeur during Alan's driving ban.
(Only 4 more months
left, though!!)
We are
pleased to announce the arrival of Gemma who comes to us from
the Mottingham branch of Hadlow College, where she was a
technical instructor and lecturer in Animal Management.
Gemma has wide
experience in dealing with members of the public as well as the
care, management and welfare of a variety of reptiles and small
mammals. She is therefore well-placed to assist Emma
Revell at Sundridge in the ongoing development of the reptile
and small mammal side of our practice, and is well qualified for
their hospitalisation and in-patient care. We welcome her to the
practice, and look forward to her contribution to the team.
Behind the scenes:
Don Attewell
the well known former owner of Newnham
Court Pet Centre, at Notcutts Garden Centre, Maidstone has sold the shop &
has brought his expertise to the practice
as an adviser on new product marketing, advertising, website
updating, internet issues and computer-related
problems.
Due to his 25 years dealing
with the retail pet buying public we hope to be
able to source & supply some much needed but hard to find
products not normally
found in the average pet shop. We are currently
looking for specialist products & will also be in the near
future producing a FAQ page on his site aimed at helping to
answer the more common questions asked by our clients.
Those of you who know him know
that he is always
available to give advice should you require it.
During his many years in the pet trade he has acquired a
number of birds, mostly African Grey parrots with various
disabilities, these now reside at his home in Kent & are living out their lives in a
comfortable & caring environment.
